You might know Tom for being in the Plain White T’s.

You’ve definitely heard his chart-topping hits like “Hey There Delilah” and “1, 2, 3, 4.” Their sentimentality and relatability made them international hits, garnering Higgenson and his bandmates 2 Grammy nominations. Beyond the 9 Plain White T’s studio albums, Tom has written with other artists, started his own record label, launched a solo project (Million Miler), and even gotten nominated for a Tony Award for his work in SpongeBob SquarePants, the musical. But that same vein of genuine sentimentality and earnest romanticism runs through all of his work, no matter the collaboration and genre. While pulling specificities from his own life, he describes universal feelings that resound with our collective humanity, our hope to find love, and our desire after the great perhaps that lives within us all.

bio

So this guy, François Rabelais. He was this poet. And his last words were ‘I go to seek a Great Perhaps.’ That’s why I’m going. So I don’t have to wait until I die to start seeking a Great Perhaps.
